November 30 What's good about this photo?November 29 The Worst Wuxi Tony Update Ever.
I have been told that the Wuxi Tony Update Series has become very repetitive and boring and repetitive and dull and repetitive and dreary. Well, it cannot be helped. I make these videos especially for Tony's grandparents who are half way around the world. They never get tired of their grandson, as does this grandson's parents. And strangely enough, Tony has garnered a few fans on the Internet. So anyway, Wuxi Tony Update Number Two Hundred Thirty Three is uninspiring, perhaps the most uninspiring WTU ever, except to those rare souls who truly appreciate watching genius in growth. As well, creeps won't like it either. If you watch this video to its conclusion, you will be rewarded with an interesting ending. I had thought to maybe edit the ending out but it wouldn't be honest, even if it seems sensational to not edit it out.
Tony in the morning.
I am a man of many annoying habits, I know. One of them is being an early riser as well as a happy riser. My son Tony, much to his mother's regret, has this habit too. Here he is at seven a.m. this morning.
Above, Tony displays a joy that is almost sadistic.
Here is a close up of that countenance:
And here is another.....
And another....
and yet another....
He he he he...... November 28 Wuxi Tony Update Two Hundred Thirty Two: Tony gets up.
What does Tony, the greatest baby ever made by a Wuxi Expat, do just after he gets up and his mother has dressed him? Millions of Wuxi Expats are dying to know and so this video, the latest episode of the greatest Internet Baby Update ever made or ever to be made, answers the question.
November 27 Photo of the Day.
This blog is evolving into a photo blog, which is fine by me and I hope, fine by you. This morning, I discovered I left my camera at work. When I arrived at work, it was to my great relief that the camera was still there. A couple years ago, I had had a camera stolen when I stupidly left it on a desk. Today, I have walked out of my office and gone to the nearest window. This is what I saw when I looked out:
The twin spires of the church and the moresky360 building in downtown Wuxi. November 26 Some Wednesday morning photos.I took some photos in and outside the apartment. Here is Tony standing in front of the television which is playing the Wizard of Oz DVD.
I just happened to catch a street sweeper just outside our apartment.
Notice how he carries the shovel on his shoulder as he rides to his next mess to cleanup. The things that I see the locals carry on their shoulders while riding always astounds me. This shovel by contrast is a small convenience.
November 25 Tony loves the Wizard of Oz, passionately.
I may have mentioned in this blog or my other blog that the DVD copy of the Wizard of Oz, that I bought at the top floor of the Nanchang Book Market, is proving to be a big hit with Tony and me. I would rather watch the Wizard of Oz twenty times over than sit through twenty different episodes of the Teletubbies, a show which I think actively encourages stupidity and lack of imagination. The Oz is a great movie and I hope to have the lyrics to all the song memorized over the next month. I can't expect Tony to do that just yet, but I do want him to appreciate the Oz's great music and the superior quality of the lyrics. And he seems to have. My wife tells me that this afternoon, Tony watched the movie "Dorothy" twice. When the wife tried to watch her own t.v. show, Tony whined and shut off the cable box. Attack Daddy, Mommy, and Chair!
Watch my son on the warpath and experience real being-harrowedism.
November 24 The M&M Boy.November 23 Wuxi Tony Update Two Hundred Thirty.
You don't deserve it, but here it is: the latest Wuxi Tony Update.
November 22 I found it!What goes on prison.
I like to stick the quirky stuff I experience in this blog. For the first time in four years, I had a student actually refer to the things men are said to do, in Prison. I was utterly and profoundly shocked. I had always assumed they watched television, played cards, dug tunnels, and made handicrafts. Meet the fabulous Snowie in this video. It is Saturday, November 22. I show you a photo if I can find it in my hard drive here at school... Here I look... Wait for it.... Wait for it...... Here is a photo of me taken five years ago.
But that is not the photo I really wanted to show you. I want my wife to see this. But you are welcome to critique it if you wish.
I wasn't meaning to show you this photo either, but what the hell!
November 21 Wuxi Tony Update Two Hundred Twenty Nine.
I have titled the latest episode of the greatest baby Internet update series of history: A Conflict of Visions.
November 20 Thursday Morning Photos.
I would be very remiss if taking photos of my morning routine, I didn't somehow include a photo of my son Tony. Here he be:
It was hard to get him to sit still this morning. That is my hand in the bottom of the photo trying to hold him back.
I also wanted you rare readers to see my electric bike this morning. Below, is what greets me when I go to pick up the bike from the underground parking and recharging area.
When I arrive home in the evening, every spot is taken so I have to bring out an electric cord to ensure my bike gets power for the next day. In the photos below, you can see the bike mitts I need to wear now that winter is coming.
November 19 How to deal with the Wuxi Cold.
Winter is rearing its ugly head in Wuxi, making my ride to and from work perilous and cold. But I will survive. And here is how you can too:
November 18 Wuxi Tony Update Two Hundred Twenty Eight: Walk in the park with Tony.
I took this interesting video on Monday afternoon. I let Tony loose in the park near Chongan Market and some hilarity did ensue.
